  • Move Better - Pilates Mat

    These classes are a mat based series of exercises based on the work of Joseph Pilates. Appropriate for all fitness levels, and adaptable to many injuries, MOVE BETTER Pilates will help you develop better stability, strength, flexibility and understanding of the muscles in and related to the elusive CORE. Pilates is warm up and rehab for just about everything.

  • Move Better - Pilates Equipment Circuit Class

    Ready to take your Pilates practice to the next level?

    This dynamic workout will combine traditional Pilates Matwork with specialized equipment including the Reformer, Springboard and small props to help you improve your strength, flexibility and overall fitness.

    Small class size means private attention at class prices.

    Class Prerequisites: Previous Equipment experience and/or 30 min Assessment session with Melissa.

    Like all MOVE BETTER yoga, these classes are a mat-based series based on the Hatha yoga tradition. Appropriate for all fitness levels and adaptable to many injuries, Melissa breaks down both the philosophy and the physical work on the mat and gets you ready for your day. An always changing practice that wakes your body up and asks you to check in with yourself BEFORE you get out there!

    This class isn’t about “getting things back”, it’s about embracing change in your new life with your new human and your new body.

    Join Melissa on the mat in this yoga class that meets you and your baby where you are at each day.

    Stretch, breathe, play, chat, breathe and cry.

    Meet other new parents in your community and share experiences.

    These classes are a standing/mat-based series built on the work of The Principal Barre Method - a fitness series created by the Toronto Ballet’s Heather Ogden. Appropriate for all fitness levels, adaptable to many injuries, and no previous dance experience required (we promise!). MOVE BETTER Barre challenges the entire body in a sweaty, fun workout.

  • Move Better - Athletic Recovery Series

    Low Back Pain, tight hamstrings/hip flexors, restricted glute function and limited mobility causing discomfort and/or getting in the way of improving athletic performance?

    You aren’t alone and now you don’t have to sit in the back watching a room full of bendy humans to feel better.

    Using rollers, bands and body weight, this class gives you a series that will open the door to ease of movement and better overall performance.
